Lindsey Sargent
Co-President
Lindsey Sargent is a lifelong Washingtonian with a B.A. in Finance from the University of Washington and an MBA from Seattle University. She has worked in real estate, mortgage lending, and non-profit affordable home ownership for the past 20 years.
She is currently the Designated Broker for Keller Williams Greater Seattle where she manages an office of 200 agents.
She also works as a real estate broker assisting first time homebuyers in their home purchase, teaching homebuyer classes for the WSHFC, and assisting with down payment assistance through several local programs. Read More

Val Pate
Co-President
Val is the Co-President of the Washington Homeownership Resource Center Board of Directors and Former Director of Asset Management and Compliance at Washington State Housing Finance Commission. In that role, Val oversaw the state’s effort to monitor project compliance with the Federal Low Income Housing Tax Credit program
In addition, Val focused on facilitating the long-term sustainability of Multifamily Housing Projects in WSHFC’s portfolio, along with continually promoting an anti-racist approach to the work done within and by the organization. Read More
Val brings over 20+ years of affordable real estate finance experience to the board, including Appraisal, Underwriting, Non-Profit Development, and Investment.
Val earned her B.A. in Geography, and MA in Sociology at Humboldt State University in California. Val did additional graduate work in Urban/Social Geography at the University of Washington.
When she’s not volunteering, Val enjoys being outdoors running, hiking, biking, and gardening.
Lee Pierce
Vice-President
Lee is the Chief Lending Officer at Seattle Credit Union (Seattle CU)
In addition to obtaining his B.S. in Business Management, Lee holds over 30 years of experience in the financial industry. In his current role at Seattle CU, Lee is actively involved in creating and setting forth the strategic lending initiatives. These initiatives include the development and implementation of new lending products and services to further assist the Credit Union in delivering upon its mission of making prosperity a reality. Lee, who grew up in the Greater Seattle area, loves engaging in various outdoor activities in the Pacific Northwest, such as biking, hiking with his dogs during summer, and snowmobiling in winter.
Bob Woodard
IT Director
With over 30 years of experience in diverse roles within the information technology industry, Bob Woodard offers a distinctive perspective to the board, approaching housing from a technical and informational standpoint. Currently serving as the Senior Information Technology Manager at the Washington State Housing Finance Commission, Bob supports the Commission’s vision of providing affordable housing access to Washington residents by leveraging technical resources to fulfill its mission.Read More
Previously Bob has served as Director of Information Technology at the Infrastrux Group, a Seattle-based company supporting electrical infrastructure on both domestic and international fronts.
Bob joined the Washington Homeownership Resource Center’s Board of Directors because of his personal commitment to giving back. Growing up in a low-income project in North Carolina, he witnessed the challenges faced by underserved communities in attaining and maintaining homeownership. Bob’s volunteer work with WHRC allows him to work towards fostering homeownership and making a meaningful impact in the lives of those in need.
Ali Sheibani
Treasurer
Ali Sheibani is the Director of Homeownership Services at Habitat for Humanity of King and Kittitas Counties. His professional experience started in sales and sales management with a shift to finance in 2006. He found his passion for non-profit work in affordable homeownership in 2013.
Through his work at Habitat as well as HomeSight–a Washington Community Development Financial Institution where he was their Loan Officer and then Portfolio Manager for over 5 years–he has had the opportunity to support 1st generation homebuyers in creating wealth and opportunity for their families. He is an avid movie-goer and enjoys running, hiking and cycling whenever possible.
Tanya Belova
Board Member
Tanya Belova is a Sr. Relationship Manager with Key Private Bank, bringing a wealth of experience and dedication to her role. Her professional journey began in 1998 at Washington Mutual Bank, where she honed her skills in retail sales and management. Tanya’s passion for assisting clients in achieving and maintaining homeownership was further cultivated during her tenure overseeing Home Lending at Chase Bank.
Since moving to Seattle/Pacific Northwest area in 1995, Tanya has been deeply committed to the community and is an advocate for homeownership.
Marc Coté
Board Member
Marc Coté is the Executive Director of Parkview Services.
Originally from Maine, Marc attended the University of Maine where he received his Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering. He worked as an electrical engineer until 1995 when he changed careers and moved to Seattle.
In 2004, he started his work in affordable housing by creating the Parkview Services Homeownership Program for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Read More
With the help of many partners, Marc was awarded the Washington State Housing Finance Commission’s Friend of Housing Award in 2011 for his efforts to preserve homeownership for thousands of Washington residents.
Mike Greenberg
Board Member
Mike Greenberg is the Communications and Relationships Coordinator for Community Frameworks, a non-profit housing consultant and lender in the US Pacific Northwest. In this multi-faceted role, Mike performs a diverse set of responsibilities that encompass board governance, strategic planning, marketing, fundraising, and operations.
Previously, after a year with the organization as an AmeriCorps VISTA in 2010, Mike was hired as staff to support Frameworks’ Lending and Capacity Building division with a variety of outreach functions, loan and organizational underwriting, and advocacy and messaging around homeownership. Mike is also the former Chair of the Seattle-King County Housing Development Consortium’s Homeownership Affinity Group. Read More
He comes to housing with a background in community development where he gained over three years of experience working with the US Peace Corps in Niger, West Africa. Mike holds a B.A. in Anthropology from Colby College and an MBA in Sustainable Business from the Bainbridge Graduate Institute at Pinchot. When not working on housing issues, Mike spends his time caring for his daughter (a full-time job all by itself) and his dog.
Rich Zwicker
Board Member
Rich Zwicker is the Grant Administrator for the Washington State Housing Finance Commission’s Homeownership Division. Before becoming Grants Administrator, he was a Senior Policy Advisor to the Commission’s Executive Director, Kim Herman.
Before joining the Commission, Rich served as a paralegal with the Consumer Protection Division of the Washington State Office of the Attorney General. He is also a former Renton City Councilmember (2008-2013). As a councilmember, Rich served on the Board of Directors of the Association of Washington Cities and represented the Sound Cities Association on the King County Regional Water Quality Committee and multiple committees of the Puget Sound Regional Council. Rich is also a former Trustee of the Renton Technical College (2005-2010), where he served on various committees for the Trustee’s Association of Community and Technical Colleges.
